Gendreauj
Am I the only one that doesn't like a 3rd slide adjustable ring , 1st slide trigger, or Amado water keys? Probably not important, but I strongly like the 1st slide thumb saddle, 3rd slide fixed ring and traditional water keys.
J. Jericho
I prefer triggers. I also like Amado water keys, but lever-style is OK, too. I especially like the trombone water keys used on Olds trumpets; they work very nicely, as they seem to deposit condensation downward, instead of on your clothes and shoes like regular water keys sometimes do. This is one of the reasons I like Amados, BTW. I haven't tried Saturns yet, but I will if I get the chance.
allen
I like the 3rd triggers that were on the Olds Mendez trumpets. Really simple and effective solution for the 3rd slide.
Gendreauj
When I buy my next trumpet or cornet, I will consider a 3rd slide trigger.
Guy
Love those 3rd slide triggers...have them on a few of my horns,(recording/Besson 10/10 /BH international) wish I had one on my early 70's Strad, but got a first slide trigger instead..and hate it...never use it. Don't have or care for Amado style water keys. I do like first slide thumb rings like the old Kings have.
TrumpetForum
I also really liked the Olds Mendez trigger mechanism. Very efficient and easy to use. Wonder why other mfgs. never really copied/applied it...
Gendreauj
Kept my Getzen 800 cornet, finally got used to the Amado keys. Did sell my Getzen 700 trumpet, I was not using it much and hated the adjustable third slide ring.
