Humes & Berg Alternatives?

Been playing on the Humes/Berg stonelined mutes that I've been playing since high school. The mutes are starting to loose their corks (dried out), and before I decide to replace the corks, should I just consider getting a new straight/cup mute?

Do others try to match the rest of the trumpet section mutes (in a local community band) or do their own thing?  Curious what others do?

I have found when playing in jazz/big bands, it is nice to have others in the same section to use the same/similar mutes.  In our section we all use Tom Crown straight mutes, and Humes/Berg cup mutes.  It's nice to hear a similar "straight mute" sound across the section - and using the same/similar (copper bottom vs. brass bottom on a Tom Crown) mute is nice.

Hope that helps!
